Solo Travel Package Terms & Conditions
1. Contract
These Terms and Conditions apply to bookings for Solo Trips organised by Chillisauce Limited (“the Company”).
When a booking is made and accepted by the Company, a legally binding contract is formed between the traveller and the Company.
These trips are package holidays within the meaning of the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 (PTR).
The Company acts as the organiser of the package.
2. Booking and Confirmation
A booking is confirmed once payment has been received and a written confirmation has been issued by the Company.
By making a booking, the traveller confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
3. Payment
Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise stated.
If payment is not received when due, the Company reserves the right to cancel the booking and apply the cancellation terms below
4. Minimum Group Size and Trip Confirmation
Some departures require a minimum number of travellers in order to operate.
Minimum group size required for a trip to run: 6 participants.
A trip becomes confirmed once the Company determines that sufficient travellers have booked for the departure to operate.
Before a trip is confirmed, the Company reserves the right to cancel the departure and provide a full refund of payments made.
Travellers should not make non-refundable travel arrangements such as flights until the Company confirms the trip will operate.
5. Customer Cancellation
If a traveller cancels their booking, cancellation charges apply.
Due to the small-group nature of these trips and the commitments made to suppliers, cancellation charges reflect the loss of the reserved place on the departure.
Cancellation charges:
More than 90 days before departure – 50% of the trip price
0–90 days before departure – 100% of trip price
Bookings made within 90 days of departure are non-refundable from the time of booking.
6. Loss of Place
By booking a trip, the traveller reserves a place on a specific departure.
If the traveller cancels, the cancellation charges apply regardless of whether the trip continues to operate or whether the Company is able to resell the cancelled place.
The Company is not obliged to fill the cancelled place or reduce the applicable cancellation charges.
7. Transfer of Booking
Travellers may request to transfer their booking to another suitable person, subject to reasonable notice.
Transfers may be subject to administrative fees and any additional costs imposed by suppliers.
If a replacement traveller cannot be found, cancellation charges will apply.
8. Accommodation and Room Allocation
Trips typically include twin-share accommodation as standard. Travellers may request a single room for an additional supplement.
Single rooms are subject to availability and cannot always be guaranteed at every property used during the trip.
Room allocations are arranged by the Company and may occasionally need to be adjusted due to operational requirements or supplier constraints.
9. Role of the Host
Some trips include a Host who accompanies the group during activities or social events.
The Host’s role is to assist with coordination, provide local insight and facilitate the group experience.
Hosts do not supervise travellers and are not responsible for travellers’ personal safety, behaviour or individual decisions.
10. Activities and Suppliers
Activities included in the itinerary may be operated by independent third-party suppliers.
While the Company selects reputable suppliers, those suppliers are responsible for delivering their services.
11. Itinerary Flexibility
The Company may make reasonable changes to the itinerary where necessary due to operational, safety or supplier reasons.
Such changes may include altering the timing or order of activities, substituting activities with alternatives of a similar standard, or changing venues.
These changes do not constitute a significant change to the package.
12. Traveller Responsibilities
Travellers are responsible for their own conduct throughout the trip.
Participation in activities is voluntary and travellers must ensure they are physically capable of participating.
Travellers must comply with local laws and behave respectfully toward other travellers, hosts, and suppliers.
13. Group Compatibility
Trips involve small groups of travellers who may not know each other before departure.
Travellers must behave respectfully and cooperatively with other participants.
The Company reserves the right to refuse a booking or remove a traveller from a trip if their behaviour is disruptive, unsafe or negatively affects the group experience.
If a traveller is removed from the trip in these circumstances, no refund will be provided.
14. Alcohol and Personal Responsibility
Travellers remain responsible for their own alcohol consumption and behaviour throughout the trip.
The Company and Hosts do not monitor or control individual alcohol consumption.
15. Travel Insurance
Travellers are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical expenses, repatriation and curtailment.
16. Price Changes
The Company reserves the right to change the price of the trip to allow for changes in transportation costs, taxes or fees imposed by third parties, or exchange rates.
If the increase exceeds 8% of the total price, travellers will have the rights provided under the Package Travel Regulations 2018.
17. Significant Changes
If the Company is forced to make a significant change to the main characteristics of the package before departure, travellers will be informed as soon as possible.
Travellers may accept the change, accept a substitute package if offered, or cancel the booking and receive a full refund.
18. Cancellation by the Company
If the Company cancels a trip, travellers will receive a full refund of all payments made for the trip.
No additional compensation will be payable where cancellation is due to unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances.
19. Unavoidable and Extraordinary Circumstances
Travellers may cancel without paying cancellation charges where unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances occur at the destination and significantly affect the performance of the trip.
20. Lack of Conformity
If any travel services are not performed in accordance with the contract, travellers must inform the Company without undue delay so that the situation can be resolved.
21. Complaints
If a problem arises during the trip travellers should inform the Host or the Company as soon as possible so that reasonable steps can be taken to resolve the issue.
22. Liability
The Company accepts responsibility for the proper performance of the package in accordance with the Package Travel Regulations 2018.
23. Data Protection
Personal information provided during booking will be used only for the purpose of arranging and delivering the trip and in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
24. Financial Protection (ABTOT)
The Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust Limited (ABTOT) provides financial protection under The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 for Chillisauce Limited membership number 5480, and in the event of their insolvency, protection is provided for:
-Non-flight packages
ABTOT cover provides for a refund in the event you have not yet travelled or repatriation if transportation was included in your package. Please note that bookings made outside the UK are only protected by ABTOT when purchased directly with Chillisauce Limited.

Bookings that are not ‘Packages’ will not benefit from the arrangements referred to in this clause.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
